It didn't start with a business plan.
It started over dinner.

I was showing my friend Danielle how I use AI to manage my family's health, organise our holidays, structure my projects, and reduce the invisible labour of parenting and running a house. Simple daily things. Tools that make my life feel lighter.

Danielle saw these small systems turning messy life into clarity and wanted to learn how to do the same. So I taught her. We sat down with a bottle and built some tools together. Whenever she shared them with her friends she'd get the same reaction each time.

"Wow, that would make my life so much easier.
How do you do that?"

"Wow, that would make my life so much easier. How do you do that?"

That was the beginning. A human moment revealing that people wanted accessible ways to use AI and emerging technology. Future Made Human was created to offer just that. A place where you can bring your messy life and we bring clarity, ideas and systems.

Who we are

Future Made Human is a small, design-led practice. We bring together design thinking, systems thinking and a deep empathy for how people actually live.

I'm Darren Franks and I lead FMH, supported by creative partners and collaborators. I'm a serial founder, a creative strategist and a primary parent. I live the same busy, overlapping life as many of our clients. Juggling routines, planning meals, organising family time, balancing ambitions with day-to-day reality.

This is really important to us. We don't sit on the outside giving advice. We live the same challenges and the solutions that we build are grounded in real life.

I believe that AI is not a technical problem, but a design problem. When we apply design thinking, with empathy and clarity, we unlock the power of technology to improve lives.
