1:1 AI coaching in London and the South East
Hands-on AI coaching with me, Darren Franks, for professionals and founders who want to use AI well. We work on your real tasks in two-hour sessions and you build an AI system that fits how you work. In London, the South East or remote, at £200 an hour plus VAT.

Who this is for
Professionals and founders who want to be fluent with AI themselves. Most people I coach aren’t technical; what they bring is real work to try it on.
I also coach neurodivergent professionals, building systems that fit how your mind works.
If you want a plan for a whole company, the readiness audit or advisory is a better fit.
You learn itby building it.
- Sessions
What a session looks like
Each session runs two hours. You bring a real task, I show you how I’d approach it with AI, then you take the controls. We finish with something working and one thing for you to try before we next meet.
- Outcome
What you build: your own AI system
By the end you have your own working AI system, built around how you work and simple enough to keep running yourself.
- Approach
How it differs from a course
A course gives everyone the same syllabus. Here the syllabus is the work already on your desk, taken at your pace.
- Place
London, the South East or remote
Side by side in London or the South East, or over video with shared screens. Mix both if that suits you.
- Price
£200 an hour plus VAT
A two-hour session is £400 plus VAT, charged for time we spend working together. Start with one, or book a short series.

I’m Darren.
Darren Franks, founder of Future Made HumanI’ve co-founded several companies over two decades, and my background is in product management: working out what matters, in what order, and getting it built. That shapes how I coach. We start from the outcome you want, not the tool.
I’ve worked on AI transformation with organisations in banking, investment, defence, healthcare and energy, and coached individual professionals across many fields.
I also spent 15 years in corporate storytelling, explaining abstract and complex ideas for companies including Microsoft and EY. Coaching uses the same skill: making something unfamiliar clear enough to use.
Frequently asked questions
What is 1:1 AI coaching?
Hands-on, personal instruction in using AI well in your own work. We work on your real tasks together and you build your own AI system as you learn. It’s practice, not lectures, shaped around how you work.
Who is it for?
Professionals and founders who want to use AI confidently without hiring a developer, in London and the South East or anywhere remotely. You don’t need technical skills. It works best if you have real work to apply it to and will try things between sessions.
How much does it cost?
£200 an hour plus VAT. Sessions usually last two hours, so a session is £400 plus VAT. You pay only for time spent working together. If you’re unsure it suits you, start with a free 20-minute conversation, with no pitch and no obligation.
What will I have built by the end?
A working AI system for your own work, such as a personal AI operating system, that you understand and can maintain. Its shape depends on what you need, and we decide together what to build first.
How is this different from a course?
A course teaches everyone the same material at the same pace. Coaching starts from your work and your questions, and you build real tools as you learn, so what you learn applies to your work straight away.
Where do sessions take place?
In person in London or the South East, or remotely over video. Remote works well because we share screens and build together. In person suits people who prefer working side by side. You can mix both.
Do I need a technical background?
No. I explain terms as we go and start from where you are. If you can describe what you want done at work, we can work out how an AI system can help. Curiosity matters more than technical skill.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on your goals. Some people want one session to get started, others book a short series to build a full system. We agree a plan after the free conversation and review it as we go. There’s no fixed programme.
What happens after the sessions end?
You keep everything we built and the know-how to maintain it. If something stops working later, you can book a follow-up session to fix it.
Can my team do this together?
Yes. Coaching can be one to one or with your team, so everyone works from shared principles. For a company-wide plan, the readiness audit or advisory is a better fit, and we can work out which suits you in the free conversation.
Start with a free 20‑minute call.
No pitch. We talk about where you are with AI and whether coaching is the right fit.
